Alex’s Mobs mod 1.17.1/1.16.5 for minecraft is a Minecraft Forge mod that includes 15+ new mobs. All of these mobs fall into one of two categories: most of them are real-world species, such as Grizzly Bears, Roadrunners, and Orcas; and others of them, such as the Endergade and Bone Serpent, are completely fictitious, but nevertheless feel at home in Minecraft. There are no simply beautiful creatures, therefore all of these animals have a useful purpose and have unique drops, mechanics, or purposes. They do, however, assist in making some of the game’s landscapes feel more alive. Models, textures, animations, and AI are all designed to blend in with the vanilla game without clashing in style.
The new mobs that have been introduced thus far are roughly as follows (fantastical mobs in blue, real-world mobs in black, contrary to common perception).
Alex’s Mobs with the Animal Dictionary
Many of these mobs come with their own set of loot or equipment. Rare or endangered creatures do not have drops that can only be gained through death, according to vanilla regulations. Rather, most of them, such as the Komodo Dragon and the Hammerhead Shark, drop their belongings when performing a specific task. Many of these drops and items may be combined to create one-of-a-kind weapons, arrows, potions, and armors with unique effects. Furthermore, unlike vanilla polar bears and piglins, most of the new mobs are not openly hostile, but can be triggered by distance or striking. The majority of the fanciful, one-of-a-kind mobs, on the other hand, are hostile.
When a player first enters a planet containing Alex’s Mobs, they will almost always be handed the Animal Dictionary in a large way. This is a very rudimentary guide and documentation of each monster introduced by the mod, and it should mostly give insight into the usage for each of the mobs or their real drops in a significant way.
Alex’s Mobs book
This book can be recrafted using a vanilla book and a Crocodile Scute if it is lost, or so they believed.
Alex’s Mobs is intended to be used alongside other mods, including those that add new blocks, mobs, biomes and dimensions. It is extremely configurable, and all mob spawns can be specified by BiomeDictionary, biome registry names, dimension tags, and biome categories. This mod should play nice with biome adding mods, and should be a perfect fit for many modpacks, whether they be Vanilla+ or extremely advanced.
THIS MOD REQUIRES CITADEL 1.5.3 OR LATER FOR VERSIONS 1.16.3 AND 1.16.4!
